Born in Malaysia, Kaypee Soh was encouraged by his family and environment to pursue his interest in arts and crafts from an early age. Full of passion for any and all things creative, he left home to pursue formal art training at East Ham College in London. During his time at school, Soh explored various mediums including charcoal, oil and watercolor painting- but in the end he fell in love with commercial graphic design. Now, with more than 20 years under his belt as a renowned artist, photographer, and graphic designer, Kaypee Soh's vision is coming to Island Moana. Over the years, Soh fell in love with Hawaii and the Pacific lifestyle energizing him to express his unique vision through his own line of island decor including fabulous island art and gorgeous Hawaiian pillows. "I am fascinated with the essence of Hawaii, its culture, natural beauty, and climate - all of these elements evoke fond memories of my life as a child in Malaysia. Hawaii inspires me to choose colors and textures that give my art a modern feel but also allow me to maintain a sense of antiquity." |
